How to Use This Question Bank
- 1.Select a topic from the navigation above. Each topic covers 20 different everyday subjects commonly asked in IELTS Speaking Parts 1 and 3.
- 2.Read the question aloud and attempt a full answer before opening the guidance. Aim for 30 to 60 seconds for Part 1 questions and 60 to 90 seconds for Part 3 questions.
- 3.Open the answer guidance to review the recommended structure, vocabulary strategies, and grammatical features your response should include.
- 4.Record yourself answering each question and compare your response against the guidance. Focus on fluency, coherence, lexical range, and grammatical accuracy.
- 5.Repeat each topic at least twice over separate practice sessions. Consistent repetition builds the automatic language retrieval you need under exam conditions.
Examiner Tip
IELTS Speaking is not a test of knowledge -- it is a test of language. The examiner does not care whether your opinion is correct. They are listening for your range of vocabulary, grammatical accuracy, coherence, and fluency. Practise giving well-structured answers with varied language, not memorised model answers.
