Choose IELTS support around your booked module, starting performance and need for feedback. This guide compares types of provision rather than presenting untested products as an independently ranked top seven.

Official practice as a starting point
British Council IELTS Ready provides preparation resources, with additional access associated with eligible test bookings. Review the current package directly before paying for overlapping materials. Use a sample task to identify where you need instruction rather than collecting large numbers of practice tests.
Self-paced course, live class or tutor?
A self-paced course suits learners who can organize independent study. Live classes add scheduled interaction, but ask how much time you personally spend speaking. A tutor may be useful for detailed essay or speaking feedback. Group size and feedback arrangements matter more than the number of videos advertised.
Check Academic and General Training coverage
Make sure the writing lessons match your module. A course centered on chart reports will not by itself prepare you to write a General Training letter. Ask to see both the task instructions and an example of the provider’s response feedback.
Evaluate feedback before price
Useful feedback points to a specific issue, explains its effect and suggests a revision. A band estimate alone cannot show you how to improve. Ask whether you can submit a revised response and how the teacher distinguishes task development from grammar and vocabulary errors.
Build a realistic weekly plan
List the hours you can actually use. Allocate a task, a review session and a fresh attempt to your weakest area. Retain practice in the other skills. After two weeks, compare new work with your starting sample and adjust the plan according to recurring problems.

Confirm the complete fee, access length, live-session schedule, time zone, cancellation terms and number of marked responses. Check any guarantee conditions yourself. No course can promise admission or replace the receiving institution’s requirements.
