How to learn English vocabulary effectively
Strong vocabulary knowledge combines meaning, sound, grammar, and use. Learning a translation alone is rarely enough. Study how a word is pronounced, which word forms belong to its family, which synonyms are close in meaning, and which words naturally appear beside it. Then retrieve the word in a quiz and use it in your own sentence.
This cluster is structured for learners, teachers, IELTS and TOEFL candidates, and anyone building practical English. Level pages provide a CEFR pathway; topic pages support speaking and writing; phrasal verbs and idioms develop natural fluency; and exercises turn passive recognition into active recall.
